I love this scene in this book

More than a thousand years ago – wrote the text – there was a man named Leo. He was not king, no noble, nor chosen by gods at birth. He was a simple fighter, forged in the sweat of daily training and in the solitude of the battlefields. Day after day, her body harden, and her soul too … until she met her. Nina. Your Light. Your Whole. Leo fell in love as only the true warriors do it: with everything he had. He took care of her, trained her, protected her. He did not allow the world to harm him, as if he could get between her and fate. But fate is cruel. One day, Leo heard rumors of a ruthless murderer: Marshall, a soulless gunner who killed for pleasure, for play, to see the fear in the eyes of the innocent. Nina, brave, faced him using everything Leo had taught him … but Marshall was stronger, darker, more broken inside. And he defeated her. He kidnapped her. Leo did not hesitate. Loading only with his sword and fury, it was after him, direct to the bowels of hell that Marshall had built. And it was then … when it happened. In the midst of the fight, while Leo’s heart was beating just to save her, the gods of value looked at him and saw something strange, something pure. They blessed him with an old power, and a bright symbol was recorded in his chest, just over his heart. Thus the transformation was born … the first pioneering warrior. His body burned with sacred fire, and his sword shone with justice. I was about to overcome Marshall, he had it. But just when it seemed that everything would end well … Marshall went back. And with his last breath of evil … He killed Nina. When reading that line, a chill toured my entire body. I stopped. I breathed.
Was that real …? Or just a legend? Don’t know. But I felt it.
Leo killed Marshall with a scream that left the earth …
… But his soul was not the same again.
A short time later, he died.
Not for a sword, not for a wound … but for sadness, and for such a deep love, that not even the fury of a warrior could endure it.
